Tomato Spaghetti

Ingredients:

Savorit Spaghetti 250g.
Onions 150 g.
Tomatoes 300 g.
Capsicum 50 g.
Garlic Pods (chopped) 2 nos.
Green Chillies (chopped) 2 nos.
Ginger (chopped) 1 small piece.
Chilli Powder 1/4 tsp.
Pepper Powder 1/4 tsp.
Salt 11/2 tsps.
Refined oil 1 tsps.
Coriander leaves few.
Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp.

Cooking time: 30 min

Method:

  • Heat 6 tablespoons of oil in a vessel.

  • Add garlic, ginger, chillies and fry for a while.

  • Chop onions and add to the pan.

  • Fry till they turn light brown.

  • Add capsicum after cutting to small pieces and fry till it gets partially cooked.

  • Then add tomatoes after cutting them, along with one teaspoon salt, chilli powder, pepper powder and turmeric powder.

  • Cook till sauce becomes thick but not dry.

  • Set the vessel aside.

  • In a separate vessel bring to boil 11/2 litres of water and add one tablespoon of oil and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

  • Add Savorit spaghetti and cook for 8 minutes until tender.

  • Stir occasionally.

  • Drain water as soon as Spaghetti is cooked.

  • Transfer the cooked Spaghetti to the tomato sauce and mix thoroughly.

  • Simmer for one minute with constant stirring.

  • Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot.
