Pasta Hotpot

Ingredients:

Savorit Long Macaroni 100 gms.
Mixed boiled vegetables 2 cups (Potatoes, Cauliflower, Carrots, Peas, Beans)
Onions 2
Spring Onions 3
Tomatoes 3
Green Chillies 4
Ginger a small piece
Tomato ketchup 1/2 cup
Celery Stalks 2
Chilli Powder 1/2 tbsp.
Refined oil 3 tbsp.
Salt to taste.

To prepare sauce:
Milk One medium glass
Butter 2 tbsp,
Maida 3 tbsp,
Cheese cubes (grated) 2,
Egg 1 no.
Salt and pepper to taste.

Cooking time: 45 min

Method:

  • Cook Savorit Long Macaroni according to instructions on pack.

  • Drain and keep aside.

  • Plunge tomatoes in boiling water.

  • Remove the skin after 5 minutes, chop and keep aside.

  • Mince onions, spring onions, celery, green chillies and ginger.

  • Heat oil, fry onions till light brown.

  • Add the other minced ingredients and fry for 1 minute.

  • Add tomatoes, chilli powder, ketchup, vegetables, macaroni and salt.

  • Add 1/2 cup of water.

  • Mix well and remove from fire.

  • To make the white sauce melt butter, add maida, milk and cook.

  • Continue stirring till it becomes thick.

  • Remove from fire, add 1/2 the grated cheese.

  • Add the beaten egg and Macaroni mixture along with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Pour the macaroni mixture into a greased baking dish.

  • Pour the white sauce over It.

  • Sprinkle the remaining grated cheese on top.

  • Dot with butter.

  • Bake in a hot oven for 15-20 minutes, till it turns brown on top.

  • Serve hot.
